Generate with AI can write from your own material. Add a PDF or photos of pages, and the questions come from that content, not from general knowledge.
Add your file
- 1Create a quiz and pick Generate with AI.
- 2Press Add a PDF or photos under the box.
- 3Pick one PDF, or up to 3 photos in JPG, PNG or WebP. Use a PDF or photos, not both.
- 4Say what you want, like "10 questions for new volunteers, easy level".
- 5Press Generate, then check every question against your file.

What happens to your file
- The PDF is read in your browser. Only its text is sent to write the questions.
- Photos are made smaller in your browser before they are sent.
- RiLiFi never stores the file or the photos. See AI and your data.
Tips for good results
- Use a PDF with real text. A scanned PDF is only a picture, so take photos of the pages instead.
- Remove the password from a locked PDF first.
- Take photos flat, sharp and well lit, one page per photo.
- Each question shows From your file: with the line it came from, so checking is quick.

Common questions
Why does RiLiFi say my PDF looks scanned?
A scanned PDF is a picture of the page with no text inside. Take photos of the pages and add those instead, up to 3.
My PDF has more than 30 pages. What happens?
RiLiFi reads the first 30 pages and shows "First 30 of" the total. To cover a later part, save those pages as their own PDF.
Does RiLiFi keep my file?
No. The file and photos are never stored. The text read from them is kept for 30 days, so you can redo a question and support can help, then it is deleted. See AI and your data.
Can I make a poll or word cloud from a file?
Yes. Add a PDF or photos is in every create dialog. It is most useful for quizzes.
