What is a would you rather question?
A question with two options where everyone has to pick one, such as “Would you rather visit every country once or live in one other country for ten years?” The fun is in the reasons, so ask a few people why they chose what they did.
How do you play the would you rather game?
One person reads a question and everyone picks an option. People on each side explain their choice, and anyone can switch. Play as many rounds as you like. In a room, people can walk to one side; online, they can vote in the chat or in a live poll.
What makes a good would you rather question?
Two options that are both tempting, or both a little bad, so the room splits. The Hard choices section on this page is built that way. For a light start, use the Easy section.
Are these questions safe for work and school?
Most are. A few on this page carry a More personal tag, and the picker hides them while Work-safe only is on, which is the default. For work, use the work list: it leaves out health, money, religion, politics, appearance and family status. For ages 13 to 17, use the teens list.
How does the random picker work?
Press Give me a question. The picker shuffles the questions with the random source built into your browser and shows them one at a time, with no repeats until you have seen them all. Choose a list, then press Full screen to show the two choices on a projector. It all runs in your browser.
Can I run would you rather as a live poll?
Yes. In RiLiFi, make a poll with the question and the two choices as answers. People join from their phones and vote, and the bar chart on the big screen fills as votes come in. The free plan covers 100 people per session.
