Where is my data stored?
RiLiFi data is stored on secure cloud servers located primarily in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit, and passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Section 8 covers international transfers. Short answers to common privacy and security questions are in our Privacy & security FAQ.
AI features
AI features are optional. You can make every quiz, poll, spin wheel, word cloud and Q&A by hand.
What we send to the AI provider:
- The description you type.
- Text read from a PDF you add. The PDF is read in your browser. We do not upload or store the file.
- Photos you add, made smaller in your browser first. We do not store the photos.
- For new or specialist topics, your description may be used for web searches run by Anthropic.
What we do not send: your name, your email address or other account details.
How the providers use it: Under their terms for business customers, Anthropic and Google do not use what we send to train their models. They may keep it for a limited time, for example to detect misuse.
What we keep: your description, the text read from your file and the AI result, for 30 days. This lets you redo a question and lets us help if you raise a support case. After 30 days we delete them. We keep usage numbers, such as how many requests were made.
Safety: We check requests and may turn AI features off for an account after repeated requests that break our Terms.
