Mentimeter has a free plan for 50 participants a month. Paid plans start at $11.99 per presenter a month, billed yearly, or $8.99 for teachers and students. This page sets out each plan, what the free plan allows, and how renewal, cancelling and refunds work.

Prices are in US dollars, as Mentimeter shows them to a visitor in the US, and exclude tax. Mentimeter shows a local currency elsewhere, and billing options differ by region.

Paid plans have no participant cap, but quiz slides take up to 2,000 participants at a time; Mentimeter suggests other slide types for bigger rooms.

Schools buying 10 or more K-12 licenses can ask for a quote by email. Nonprofits: discount on request by email. The education page states no verification step.

Conference packages are a one-time payment for 30 days of access, with no subscription. Each presenter needs their own Mentimeter account.

Free plan

What the Mentimeter free plan allows.

The Free plan has no end date. Its limit is people per month, not presentations.

What you get free

As many presentations as you like, with Menti AI to draft them.
Word clouds, polls, quizzes and Q&A, from 23 slide types.
Up to 200 slides per presentation.
Menti Form and Menti Pulse participants do not count toward the monthly limit.

Where the limits bite

50 participants a month across all presentations. The count resets every month on the day you created your account.
Every presentation adds its participants to the monthly total. People who leave and rejoin the same presentation within 8 hours count once.
The presentation that crosses 50 keeps running with no cap for 8 hours. After that, nothing new goes live until the reset.
One all-hands bigger than 50 people uses the whole month's allowance in a single session.
Quick Form slides need Pro. Slide import and Excel or PDF export start on Basic.

Billing

Monthly or yearly: US view: yearly only for Basic and Pro. Some other regions offer Basic billed monthly. Pro and Enterprise are yearly only.
Renewal: Basic and Pro renew automatically every year. Mentimeter emails a reminder first; its terms say 30 days before the charge.
How to cancel: Profile icon, Billing, Automatic renewal, Turn off auto-renewal. You keep access until the paid year ends.
Refunds: Full refund within 14 days of your first purchase. The plans page adds: if you have not used Mentimeter at a live event. Renewals are not refunded. Ask by email at hello@mentimeter.com.
One-event packages: Conference packages are a one-time payment for 30 days of access, with no subscription.
Payment: Card, debit card or PayPal. Invoice and bank transfer for Pro and Enterprise.

A secondary school or university class of 30 students aged 13 and over, one session a week, about 4 a month. Each class counts again, because Mentimeter adds every presentation's participants to the monthly total.

How do I cancel Mentimeter?

Open Billing from your profile icon and turn off automatic renewal. You keep access until the paid year ends. A full refund is possible within 14 days of your first purchase; renewals are not refunded.
