How to make bingo cards in 3 steps

  1. Pick a card type. Word bingo uses your own words or phrases. 75-ball cards have five columns under B-I-N-G-O. 90-ball cards are the 3×9 tickets used in the UK.
  2. Add your words, one per line, or start from a ready-made list. A 5×5 card with a free centre needs 24 words. Add more than that, and the cards differ more from each other.
  3. Choose how many cards you need, from 1 to 200, and press Make cards. Every card is different and has its own number.

Download PDF gives you A4 or US Letter pages with 1, 2 or 4 cards each. Print does the same from your browser. The last page is the caller sheet: every word or number, with a box to tick.

Share this game puts the list, the settings and the game code in a link. A co-host who opens it gets the same cards and can run the caller on another device.

How to play bingo

Word bingo. Each player gets a card. The host calls the words one at a time, and players mark them. The first to mark a full row, column or diagonal shouts “Bingo!” Play on for a full house if you like.

75-ball bingo. The caller reads a letter and a number, such as B-12. B holds 1–15, I 16–30, N 31–45, G 46–60 and O 61–75. The free centre square counts as marked. A line wins first, then a full house.

90-ball bingo. Each ticket has 3 rows and 15 numbers, 5 in each row. The columns go from 1–9 up to 80–90. Players win one line, then two lines, then a full house. In France the same game is called loto.

Run the game with the on-screen caller

Press Start calling. The caller draws a word or number at random and never repeats one. Put it on a projector in full screen: Space draws the next call and Esc closes the view. Auto-call makes a new call every few seconds and pauses when you switch tabs.

When someone shouts “Bingo!”, type their card number into Check a card. The caller rebuilds that card from the game code and shows which squares have been called, so you can confirm the win in seconds.

Ideas for parties, classes and events

  • Office parties. Fill the cards with things that happen at every party: a speech, a group photo, someone talking about work. Players mark them as they happen.
  • Classes. Review vocabulary with secondary school or university students. Read a definition aloud, and students mark the word it describes.
  • Baby showers. Guests mark the gifts as they are opened. Start from the ready-made list or write your own.
  • Holidays. Christmas bingo for a family evening or an end-of-term party. The Festive colours print well in black and white too.
  • Conferences. Buzzword bingo keeps a long session light. Hand out the cards before the keynote and see who hears “synergy” first.

Are the cards fair?

Yes. Each game gets a code from your browser’s cryptographic random source. Each card is shuffled from that code with a Fisher–Yates shuffle, so every word is equally likely on every square. No two cards in a game are the same, and while your list is long enough, no two cards share the same set of words. The caller draws with the same random source.

FAQ

Bingo card generator questions

Is the bingo card generator free?
Yes. Make as many games as you like. There are no ads and no paid version of this page.
Do I need an account?
No. The generator, the PDF and the caller all work without sign-up. Your words stay in your browser.
How many cards can I make?
Up to 200 cards per game, with 1, 2 or 4 on each page. For more, make a second game: its cards get a new game code.
Are the cards unique?
Yes. No two cards in a game are the same. With a short list, some cards share the same words in a different order, and the tool tells you when that happens. Add more words to avoid it.
Can I print on A4 and Letter paper?
Yes. Choose A4 or US Letter under Print options, then download the PDF or press Print. The PDF has print-ready margins and works in black and white.
Is there a bingo caller?
Yes. Press Start calling to draw words or numbers at random, in full screen if you like. It has Undo, auto-call and a card check that confirms a win from the card number.
