Guides for every setting.
How each RiLiFi tool works, what every setting changes, and straight answers on privacy. Written by the team that builds it.
Getting started
Your first folder, your first session, and how people join.
- 01Get started: your first folder and sessionCreate a RiLiFi account, make a folder, add a quiz, poll, Q&A, word cloud or wheel, and run it live. The whole path from sign-up to your first session.
- 02How attendees join a sessionAttendees join a RiLiFi session from any phone browser with a PIN, a QR code or a link. No app and no account. Here is what they see and what you control.
Features and settings
What each tool does, and what every setting changes.
- 01Live quiz: questions, timers and scoringHow RiLiFi live quizzes work: single or multiple correct answers, timers from 5 to 999 seconds, 10 points per question, a speed bonus and a live leaderboard.
- 02Live poll: options, timers and anonymous votingHow RiLiFi live polls work: up to 250-character questions, single or multiple choice, an optional timer of 15 seconds or more, and anonymous voting.
- 03Live Q&A: every setting explainedEvery RiLiFi live Q&A setting: moderation, questions per person, screen refresh, anonymous or named, upvotes, sorting, one-time edits and the profanity filter.
- 04Word cloud: prompts, limits and live hidingHow RiLiFi word clouds work: a prompt up to 255 characters, 1 to 10 words per person, anonymous or named answers, a profanity filter and hiding words live.
- 05Spin wheel: names, spin time and winnersHow the RiLiFi spin wheel works: paste a long list of names, set a spin from 1 to 600 seconds, then keep the winner in or remove them for the next spin.
- 06Smart folders and sharingKeep everything for an event in one RiLiFi folder: quizzes, polls, Q&A, word clouds, wheels and bookmarks. Share the folder with teammates by email.
- 07Bookmarks: keep links next to your contentSave links with labels inside a RiLiFi folder, like the speaker deck or the event agenda, so every resource for a session sits next to the poll or quiz.
- 08Session history and CSV exportEvery RiLiFi session is archived when it ends. See participants, average score, score distribution and the leaderboard, then export the results to CSV.
How-to recipes
Step-by-step setups for the sessions hosts run most.
- 01Run an anonymous Q&A for a town hallSet up a RiLiFi live Q&A where nobody gives a name, the room upvotes the best questions, and leadership answers what people actually want to know.
- 02Moderate questions before they appearUse review-first moderation in RiLiFi live Q&A so every question waits for approval before the room sees it. Hand moderation to a teammate.
- 03Run an anonymous pollSet up a RiLiFi live poll where voters skip the name screen, so you get honest answers in town halls, HR check-ins and retros.
- 04Open a session with a word cloudUse a RiLiFi word cloud as an icebreaker or exit ticket: one prompt, one to three words from everyone, and the mood of the room on screen in seconds.
- 05Run a fair giveaway with the spin wheelRun a prize draw the whole room can see is fair: paste the entrant list into a RiLiFi wheel, set the spin time and remove each winner after their spin.

Asked most
Quick answers
Where is RiLiFi data stored?
RiLiFi is hosted on VPS cloud servers located primarily in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The privacy policy covers international transfers.
What does RiLiFi anonymous mode record?
When "Ask for a name" is off, RiLiFi attendees skip the name screen and no name is collected. Each response is tracked by a random ID so votes and answers can be counted.
Who can see attendee names in RiLiFi?
RiLiFi only collects names when "Ask for a name" is on. Then they appear in the session history. In Q&A the report also lists who upvoted, and in word clouds it shows who sent each word. With the setting off, there are no names to see.
