How to use the wheel spinner

1. Add your choices. Type them one per line, or paste a list. Until you do, the wheel shows sample choices with a Sample tag.
2. Spin. Press Spin or tap the middle of the wheel. Spins take 5 seconds by default; you can pick anything from 1 to 120 seconds.
3. Read the result. The wheel lands on one choice and shows it full size. Keep it on the wheel for the next spin, or remove it.

Full screen fills a projector, a TV or a shared screen in a video call, so everyone watches the same spin.

Ideas for the spin wheel

• Where to eat. Put the team’s lunch options on the wheel and spin once. The debate ends in five seconds.
• Game night. List the board games, card games or party games, then spin for the next one.
• Prizes. Put the prizes on the wheel and let each winner spin for theirs. Remove a prize once it is taken.
• Class rewards. Spin for the end-of-week reward or the topic you review next. Students see the pick is fair.
• Quiz night forfeits. A wheel of light-hearted forfeits or bonus rounds for the team in last place.
• Which task first. When every task matters the same, list them and spin. Then get started.

Is the wheel spinner fair?

Yes. The result is picked before the wheel starts to turn, with your browser’s built-in cryptographic random number source. Every slice has exactly the same chance, and past spins don’t change the next one.

To make one choice more likely, add it twice: it gets two slices. Shuffle uses the same random source, so the order of the slices is fair too.
