AI and your data: what is sent, kept and never stored

AI features are optional. When you use them, this is what happens to your words and files. The privacy policy has the full legal version.

Who writes the drafts

RiLiFi uses Claude by Anthropic and Gemini by Google, two leading AI providers. Under their terms for business customers, they do not use what we send to train their models.

What is sent

  • The description you type.
  • Text read from a PDF you add. The PDF is read in your browser.
  • Photos you add, made smaller in your browser first.
  • For new or specialist topics, your description may be used for web searches run by Anthropic.

What is never sent or stored

  • Your name, email address or other account details are never sent.
  • Nothing from the people who join your sessions is sent.
  • Your PDF files and photos are never stored.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Your description, the text read from your file and the AI result: 30 days. This lets you redo a question and lets our team help with a support case. Then they are deleted.
  • Usage numbers, like how many requests you made, are kept.
  • Activities you create are saved like the rest of your content, until you delete them.

Safety

  • Requests for harmful content are refused.
  • Text inside a file is treated as content. Instructions hidden in a file are ignored.
  • After several unsafe requests, AI turns off for the account. See AI is turned off.
