Date night trivia quiz
Twelve date night questions on famous couples, love songs, romance films and the traditions behind Valentine's Day and wedding anniversaries.
Medium 12 questions 30 s each · about 9 min Checked against 12 sources

A round for a couples' night in, a Galentine's party or a quiz night with a romantic theme. It opens with the easy ones: Cupid, Valentine's Day and the X in XOXO. Then it moves to the screen and the stage, from Verona to La La Land, and to the songs people still slow dance to. The last few are the table arguments: who married whom twice, and which anniversary is silver. Every answer is checked against Wikipedia, so nobody has to sleep on the sofa over a disputed point. Expect about 10 minutes.
How to run it
- Play couple against couple. Each couple shares one phone and joins with a team name, so the leaderboard shows who knows their romance films best.
- Question 8 is the Elizabeth Taylor one. Ask the room to guess the years before you reveal, since the story is better than the answer.
- For a night in for two, run it on the TV and play on two phones. The speed bonus settles who answers first.
