World landmarks quiz
Twelve questions on famous landmarks: the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal, Angkor Wat, Machu Picchu, Petra, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Burj Khalifa.
Medium 12 questions 30 s each · about 10 min Checked against 12 sources

A travel round for a room full of people who have been to some of these places and want to prove it. It goes beyond naming the city. You will ask when the Eiffel Tower was finished, who built Machu Picchu, what the Golden Gate Bridge's colour is called and why London's clock tower changed its name in 2012. The spread is global: Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, Australia and North America. Every answer is checked against Wikipedia. Allow about 10 minutes, more if people start telling holiday stories.
How to run it
- Ask who has visited each place before you show the answer. The hands that go up make the round feel personal.
- Question 7 catches most people out. Almost everyone has heard of Big Ben, but few know the tower's current name.
- Question 12 is the tallest building. Records change, so check it before each run and update the question in the editor if needed.
