Pub quiz template for your quiz night

This pub quiz template runs a whole quiz night from one deck: welcome, house rules, a warm-up, two rounds of general knowledge questions with a leaderboard after each, and a lucky spin for the spot prize. Players answer on their phones, the scores add up themselves and faster right answers earn more points. Every answer is checked against two sources, and every slide has notes on what to say.

  • 17 slides
  • About 40 min
  • 9 slides the room answers
  • Presenter notes on every slide

Questions about this template

How many questions are in the pub quiz?

Eight in two rounds of four, which takes about 40 minutes with chat. For a longer night, add rounds from the quiz templates on rilifi.com.

Can teams play together on one phone?

Yes. Each team joins on one phone with a team name, and the leaderboard shows teams instead of people.

Where do the answers come from?

Every answer was checked against two sources, listed on this page. The notes under each question give a short fact to read after the reveal.

Is the pub quiz template free?

Yes. Using the template is free, and so is running it: the Free plan includes 15 activities and up to 100 people per session. Paid plans for bigger rooms start at $7 a month.

Do people need an app or an account?

No. They join in their phone or laptop browser with the PIN or QR code on the screen. No app and no account.
