What thirty minutes are good for
The ring turns coral for the last 3 minutes. After zero, the timer counts how far over you are, which helps with the next session’s timing.
- Workshop block. Plan a workshop in 30 minute blocks: input, activity, discussion. The timer keeps each block honest.
- Lunch break. Put a 30 minute countdown on the screen at an event, so the afternoon starts on time.
- Exam section. Time a longer test section with the clock on the projector. Students see the colour change three minutes before the end.
- Panel or Q&A. Give a panel half an hour. If it runs long, the over count shows by how much.
